Covering the dining scene in and around the OC
Prepare your palate for a weekend of culinary delights: The Taste of Newport starts September 17, and we’re not the only ones who are eager to sample the creative cuisine from the 30 participating restaurants! The menus range from simple (sliders and french fries) to exotic (empanadas, lobster and corn chowder, chicken tikka masala), and they all sound wonderful.
Participating restaurants this year include Back Bay Bistro, Beachcomber, Five Crowns, Kitayama, Port Restaurant, The Ritz, Royal Thai, and many more. One of our favorites: Palm Terrace at The Island Hotel is serving their famous Mac and Cheese with crushed truffles. Yum!
We’ll be doing some pre-Taste of Newport menu sampling for our Table for Two column in the Newport Beach Independent, and for our Coastal Food and Wine website. Until then, visit the Taste of Newport website for more details.
