Newporters can now chow down at Eat Chow in Newport Shores

For the past four years, Eat Chow on Newport Blvd. in Costa Mesa has been serving up their eclectic international menu and exotic libations to happy patrons.

Now, Newport Beach residents can enjoy the same fine food because Eat Chow just opened a second location at the corner of Coast Highway and 62nd Street in Newport Shores.

The new restaurant serves the same favorites (including an extensive breakfast menu) as the Costa Mesa spot. Truffle mac n’ cheese, warm curry chicken salad, and the French dip with “made-from-love” au jus are just a few of the many menu items. However, new recipes are in the works and are being tested in the Newport location’s state-of-the-art kitchen.

The food may be the same, but the aesthetic experience in Newport is very different from the one in Costa Mesa. Designed by Ross Morgan, the new restaurant’s décor is inspired by a Danish, mid-century modern look, with warm, custom wood components, beach-inspired color accents and earthy stone walls.

Kudos to the Eat Chow team: Amy Curran, Francisco Perez and Brian McReynolds.
