Covering the dining scene in and around the OC
Who says only large cities can hold a “taste fest?”
The City of Lake Forest may not have a plethora of fancy restaurants, but the ones they do have offer a fun diversity of dishes.
That’s why Lake Forest decided to launch its own Taste of Lake Forest on Sunday, August 12, from noon to 3 pm at the Foothill Ranch Towne Centre Food Festival at the corner of Bake Parkway and Towne Center Drive.
Some of the confirmed Taste of Lake Forest restaurants include Rocq Café, Peppino’s, Outback Steakhouse, Luna Grill, Corner Bakery Cafe, Lucille’s Barbeque, Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant, Empanada Man Pizzeria, Wing Stop, Brizio, Quiznos, Urban Kitchen Grill & Wine Bar, Schlotzsky’s, Seattle’s Best Coffee, and Nino’s Kitchen.
The event includes live music, raffle prizes (including a 40 inch Vizio TV and a Kindle Fire) and family-friendly activities, plus an appearance by American Idol finalist Ace Young, who appeared on the fifth season of American Idol and placed seventh.
Taste of Lake Forest is also the kickoff event for Shop & Dine Lake Forest Week, held August 12 through August 19, with hundreds of Lake Forest retailers, restaurants and services offering unique promotions and discounts.
The cost to sample food from all of the restaurants at Taste of Lake Forest is only $5. For more information, download the event flyer on the Lake Forest Economic Development website.
