Covering the dining scene in and around the OC
Newport Beach Winery has become as renowned for throwing fabulous charity events as it has for making outstanding wines. This weekend is another opportunity to taste some of the winery’s remarkable varietals while supporting an organization that impacts thousands of people.
On Sunday, October 21, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., the winery hosts a fundraising event (aptly named Soiree in the Vineyards) to benefit the Orange County Food Bank, which distributes nearly 20 million pounds of food each year to 400 non-profit agencies throughout the county including soup kitchens, churches, shelters and social service agencies. They also provide direct services to 23,000 seniors and low-income families each month.
The event is presented by Community Action Partnership of Orange County, and features wine pairings of Newport Beach Winery’s superb wines with delicious appetizers, beer tastings from Haven Gastropub’s brew-master, live jazz, photo ops with a 1971 Corniche Rolls-Royce, and tours of Newport Beach’s only working winery, including the 2,500 square foot wine cave.
Those who attend the VIP pre-Soiree will have a unique photo opportunity in front of Richard Moriarty’s Lamborghini that hangs on his living room wall.
Tickets are $150 per person. Sponsorships and a pre-Soiree V.I.P. experience are still available.
For tickets or more information, visit OCFoodBank.org/Soiree, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 714-897-6670 ext 5314. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door, so call or email soon to make sure you can still attend–it will be a terrific event!
