Covering the dining scene in and around the OC
What if you took Sex and the City, blended it with Julie and Julia, and poured it on to the Food Network?
You’d get Audrey, the newest series on WIGS (YouTube’s top channel for scripted drama) that premieres on Monday, October 29.
Audrey is a comedy that showcases love, sex and relationships as it follows a Carrie Bradshaw-like character who is obsessed with food instead of Manolos. She tries to rise up the ranks in the culinary world, but her appetite for both love and haute cuisine complicates her journey.
Audrey stars up-and-coming actress Kim Shaw who was recently featured in How I Met Your Mother and She’s Out of my League. The series also stars Bobby Campo (The Final Destination), Arielle Kebbel (90210, The Vampire Diaries) and Gary Cole (Office Space). Audrey is written by Leah Rachel and directed by Betty Thomas (Private Parts).
Can’t wait until Monday? I’ve got a sneak peak–watch this 30 second clip from the first episode on the Off the Menu OC YouTube Channel:
Audrey is just one of the many series on WIGS featuring powerful women both on and off camera. In fact, the majority of the series were written and/or directed by women. Previous series have starred Jennifer Garner, Julia Stiles, America Ferrera, Dakota Fanning, Troian Bellisario, Jena Malone, and many more. Behind the camera, WIGS boasts filmmakers and writers such as Marta Kauffman (Friends), Amy Lippman (Party of Five) and Lesli Linka Glatter (Mad Men).
New episodes of Audrey will post every Monday and Friday, through November 16–although based on the concept, and the ever-growing interest in all things foodie-related, this show could garner a loyal following that may demand more episodes.

For those curious about WIGS: Launched in May 2012, WIGS is currently the most popular scripted channel for drama on YouTube. It offers provocative, edgy, and addictive series, short films, and documentaries that feature complex, compelling characters played by female leads. Created by Jon Avnet (“Black Swan,” “Fried Green Tomatoes”) and Rodrigo Garcia (“Albert Nobbs,” “In Treatment”), the channel combines Hollywood’s most successful creative minds with the innovation and power of the digital age to deliver high-quality, original entertainment.
